Overview

The Juniper EX-UM-4X4SFP is a hot-swappable uplink expansion module purpose-built for the EX4300 Series of Ethernet switches. It adds four dual-mode SFP+ ports to the switch's dedicated uplink slot, each capable of accepting either 10-Gigabit SFP+ or 1-Gigabit SFP transceivers, giving network admins flexibility to mix speeds as needed. The added ports can be configured as standard network uplinks or as Virtual Chassis Ports (VCPs), allowing multiple EX4300 switches to be stacked and managed as a single logical device. This module is a straightforward way to boost uplink bandwidth on 24- or 48-port EX4300 switches, reducing oversubscription in campus and data-center-access deployments. This unit is brand new and factory sealed.
