I bought this awhile back and was using it until recently. I have decided to switch KVM units.
AFAIK, everything is functional. There's support for HDMI audio passthrough, assuming your devices and monitor / TV support it. There's functional EDID emulation so the monitor / TV will appear connected to each device even if it is not the current active device. There's no keyboard hotkeys so only way to switch devices is via the case button or wired remote. All the USB ports are connected to an internal USB 3.0 hub which is only connected to the current active, so it will connect and disconnect whenever the active device is changed.
The type-c port on the side is used to offload to dedicated external power. Otherwise, the KVM unit will draw power from the USB 3.0 cables instead. You should probably use the dedicated power if you intend to use any power hungry USB devices.
Besides the unit, I am including 2 HDMI cables, 2 USB cables, 1 USB Type-C cable for external power, and one wired remote. I am assuming you will be reusing an existing HDMI cable for the monitor / TV. Any questions, let me know.
