Lot of 4 Genuine Lenovo / Gemalto ExpressCard Smart Card Readers

For sale is a lot of four new old stock Lenovo Gemalto PC Express Compact Smart Card Reader/Writers, complete with four original Lenovo software and user-guide CDs.

These are genuine Lenovo accessories manufactured by Gemalto and are the later Gemalto-branded version of Lenovo’s Gemplus ExpressCard Smart Card Reader.

Lenovo designed this reader to add contact smart-card capability to computers equipped with a 54mm ExpressCard slot. Lenovo’s original documentation states that the reader supports cards meeting ISO 7816-1, -2, -3 and -4, including Class A, B and C cards operating at 5V, 3V and 1.8V and T=0/T=1 protocols.

These are smart-card readers, not SD/microSD memory-card readers.

Compatibility notice: These are legacy computer accessories. The included Lenovo CDs contain older software/drivers. Lenovo later included product 41N3043 on its list of options compatible with Windows 10, but buyers should verify compatibility with their exact computer, operating system, smart card, middleware and application before purchase. A computer must have the appropriate 54mm ExpressCard slot.

Smart cards, security credentials and third-party authentication software are not included.
