Please Read!! No returns, you must know what you are doing and what processor will work with this motherboard!Lenovo M75Q Gen 2 Certified Reutilized Part motherboard 5B20U54842 This is a new part but sold as Certified Reutilized to replace your motherboard. You can use it to replace a supervisor-locked motherboard as well. I bought two boards and tested one in one of my M75Q Gen 2 PC's, with the Ryzen 5 Pro 4650GE processor from the old board, in the other new board. This one is still sealed from Lenovo, just the box was opened by customs. (I sold the other one.)

I was able to make the original motherboard work again so I put the processor back in the old board and it worked in either board with no issues. Be aware there are very few Ryzen models compatible with this motherboard and socket, so make sure what you will be putting into it Only the 35W processors will work in this board. What I found was: “The AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE supports AM4 socket upgrades, with compatible options including the Ryzen 5 PRO 5650G/GE and Ryzen 7 PRO 5850G/GE for improved performance”. I don’t know if that is all true or not, so please do your own research. Also be aware that once you used the processor in a Lenovo motherboard, it becomes PSB locked; which means you can only use it in a genuine Lenovo motherboard again. I have heard that Dell might be doing this too, so if the processor was locked to a Dell you want to use, it will not boot except in a Dell motherboard. It is not defective, but locked to the manufacturer’s brand. You will have to download and use the BIOS update tool from Lenovo and run it, even if you just reflash the same BIOS, but their tool I think always asks if you want to change the serial number and model of the motherboard when you run it, so this is where you put the serial number and model of the board you are replacing in it. I don’t know that it matters unless you are getting service from Lenovo to change it to yours or not otherwise.Ryzen Processors and PSB-locked motherboards: If a Ryzen processor is installed in a PSB-locked Lenovo motherboard, it becomes vendor-locked, meaning it can only be used with that specific vendor’s motherboard and cannot be transferred to another brand's motherboard. This is due to a feature called AMD PSB (Platform Secure Boot) that locks the CPU to the vendor's system.I have moved the processor from a bad motherboard to a new same model Lenovo motherboard with no issues. If you put a non-bound Ryzen into a Lenovo locked motherboard it becomes bound to a Lenovo-branded motherboard. A vendor-locked CPU can be installed in another system from the same vendor, but not swapped to a motherboard from a different vendor. Again, at this time I am aware of only Lenovo and maybe Dell doing this, but you must check to make sure the processor you want to use is not already locked to another brand board, or Lenovo and compatible with this board from them.Again, I am selling this as an open-box part and I know the other one I used worked for me but if you don't follow the requirements, I am not responsible if you can't make the processor you have work in it! It is as described, and again, no returns. There is no way I can guarantee an unopened motherboard, nor your ability to install the proper processor and not damage it. Hence it is sold as PARTS ONLY! There is no warranty! It is a sealed package from Lenovo, although the box was opened by customs, the motherboard is as sent. Never used. Sent in the nicely packed original box in another box, sent by most economical way at the time of sale.
