The Tripp Lite NPOE-SPL-G-5VMU is an active IEEE 802.3af PoE splitter. It takes power and data from a PoE switch or 48V injector over Cat5e/6 cabling and separates them into a 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 data connection and a 5V 1A USB Micro-B power connection, so a non-PoE device can be placed up to 328 ft (100 m) from the PoE source where no AC outlet is available.
