- Upgraded with a fastmetal compatible GPU
- Upgraded to Bluetooth 4.0to allow HandOff, AirDrop, and greater range

- Replaced the #1 drive sled with an OWC blue aluminum drive sled for mounting 2.5"SATA SSDs

Notes:
- With the latest firmwareupdate (v144.0.0.0) there is essentially no difference between a 2009 and 2012 MP.
- The firmwarev144.0.0.0 allows Metal GPUs, and to run Mojave (or newer with 3rd party patches).
- TheSapphire RX580 8GB graphics card shows a black screen until just before the desktop.
- The non-MetalGT-120 GPU will work under Mojavewith limitations, and will let you use startup utilities if needed.
- Mojave 10.14 is the last MacOS to run both 32-bit and 64 bit apps. All newer OS's are 64-bit apps only.
- If you want to run OS's older than 10.13.6 you would need to swap the RX580 out with the GT-120.
- You cannot runthe RX580 and the GT-120 at the same time in Mojave or newer.
- As configured, there is 1 x 2.5" drive bay, 1 x 3.5" drive bay, and 1 x 5.25" Optical bay open.
- The Xeon 6-Core 3.46GHz is the fastest CPU for the 2009 to 2012 Mac Pros.
- There are 4 used and 4 open RAM slots allowing plenty of room to add additional RAM (up to 128GB total).
- Apple recommends installing ECC (Error Correcting Code) RAM which is much more stable.
- PCIe drivesappear as external drives even though they have the fastest most direct connection.
