Microsoft Serial Mouse 2.0, also known as the "kidney" mouse, which was released around 1993. It was a common accessory for PCs running Windows 3.1 or Windows 95.
Design: The mouse is beige with a distinctive curved, ergonomic shape that earned it the nickname "kidney" mouse.
Connectivity: This model was primarily a serial mouse, which connected to a computer's 9-pin DE-9 or 25-pin DB-25 serial port. Some packages also included a PS/2 adapter, making it compatible with both serial and PS/2 ports.
Tracking: It used a mechanical rollerball for tracking movement.
Buttons: It featured two buttons, left and right, but did not have a scroll wheel, which was a later innovation for Microsoft mice.
