I bought this replacement Bluetooth keyboard/screen cover for the Microsoft Surface Go, manufactured by Inateck, on (item: 274392149299). I used it for about 5 minutes, during which time it worked perfectly. Five stars. But, in my slow shift away from Microsoft products, I installed Linux on my Microsoft Surface, and now it will only recognize the original Microsoft keyboard.
I’m not an engineer, but the Inateck keyboard uses BLUETOOTH, which works fine with an unmodified Surface Go, but my Linuxified Surface Go will only recognize a keyboard that connects via the Surface Go’s PROPRIETARY KEYBOARD PORT (see the last screenshot). Anyway, if you have a Surface Go (versions 1, 2, or 3) and you have not replaced the operating system with Linux, this keyboard worked great for me, albeit briefly, and it might for you too.
Please do take the time to examine the photos CAREFULLY and make sure this item is what you’re looking for, as ALL SALES ARE FINAL. I’m trying to get this new store off the ground, so I encourage you to message me with any questions at all about this product before taking the leap. And be aware that I reuse/recycle shipping materials whenever possible. Your box/mailer may not look fresh off the showroom floor, but I’ll use packaging that is both suitable for your item’s safe arrival and is reasonably respectable looking. (Can’t have all those shiny, smirking Amazon boxes giving your package a hard time on the truck!)
