These Dell branded expansion modules convert each Dell PowerEdge 2161DS & HP EO1010, EO1013 & HP AF600A (408964-001)KVM port into eight KVM ports.
This is a PEM passive device that can be mounted next to the railing of a rack. Each PEM connects to one system port of a Dell PowerEdge 2161DS KVM switch, and then up to eight servers can be connected to the PEM, instead of just one server connected to he main KVM port. With a PEM connected to each of the 16 ports on the 2161DS, the total system capacity of a 2161DS expands to 128 servers. This makes it very economical to expand on your existing KVM switch, & leave everything centralized under one KVM device.
Please check with your user manual to find out if this PEM expansion module will work with other Dell PowerEdge DS KVM switches.Each unit include the pictured rack mounting brackets & two network cables.
