Barnes & Noble NOOK Simple Touch eReader – Model BNRV300 – 2011 – Original Box & Accessories – Will not hold a charge/turn on
Offered for sale is an original 2011 Barnes & Noble NOOK Simple Touch eReader, model BNRV300, complete with its original retail box, interior packaging, USB charging cable, and Quick Start Guide.
This early touchscreen NOOK is exceptionally well preserved cosmetically and appears to have seen little, if any, use. The reader itself is extremely clean, with no significant visible scratches, scuffs, or other cosmetic damage.
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ CONDITION DETAILS
The NOOK displays what appears to be its original factory startup screen, including the Barnes & Noble logo and instructions to fully charge before first use.
The device was charged overnight using its USB cable. Despite multiple attempts to power it on by holding the power button, the reader did not respond or advance beyond the startup screen.
The device does NOT currently power on and is being sold AS-IS, and most likely in need or a new battery.
The cause of the malfunction has not been determined. It may have a depleted or failed battery or another internal issue. No repairs have been attempted.
Please note that E Ink displays can retain an image even when a device is not receiving power. The visible startup screen should not be interpreted as evidence that the reader is functioning.
