Testing:

The printer powers on and performs its normal startup movement, with the printhead moving approximately one inch to the right and then returning.

The built-in self-test was also performed without connecting the printer to a computer. It produced the character test pattern shown in the photographs. The test was performed on ordinary loose paper because the proper continuous-feed tractor paper with pin-feed holes was not available. The resulting print is faint, uneven and overlapping in places.

The installed ribbon is intact, but it is used and its age and remaining life are unknown. The printer was not connected to a Commodore computer, and the interface module, cable and software disk were not independently tested.

Cosmetic condition:

The printer shows scratches, scuffs, dust and general age-related wear. The handbook has edge wear, creasing and a previous owner’s name written inside. The disk has handwriting on its label. Please examine all photographs carefully for the exact condition and everything included.
