Vintage Apple Computer Poster\"Home Is Where The Apple Is\"
I started my tech career in the early-1980\'s with ComputerLand. ComputerLand began in the mid-1970\'s and was the first large scale computer resellers. We were the authorized sales and service centers for IBM, Apple, Compaq, Epson, HP and others. I have recently retired from IT and will be moving next year, so I will be selling many of the items I have collected over the years.This listing is for a vintage Apple marketing / advertising poster thatwas only given to Apple authorized sales and service centers.We sold many Apple computers to home and small business users before the introduction of the Macintosh, and even afterwards up till the IIGS. When we closed down our dealership, my store manager gave me this poster as wewere cleaning out the store.
This large colorful postermeasures 23.5\" x 36.5\" and is printed on heavy stock paper. This is a uniquepiece of Apple advertising history when the Apple Computer was the primary source of sales for Apple. It has, in my opinion, some interesting qualities like the bird on the fence and thewhimsicalsmoke from thechimney. Another interesting note is the \"APPLE\" font spacing in comparison to \"COMPUTER\".
Considering its age, it is in very good condition. It was displayed in one of my offices for a few years before being rolled up in the original tube and stored away. It does have some condition issues, which I have tried to carefully detail in the included photos. From a distance, these blemishes are not noticeable, and some of these issues would not be visible with a proper frame.
This poster comes with the original mailing tube, mailed directly from Apple\'s Mariani One Campus. It is postmarked by UPS on Dec 5, \'85 and went through the Post Office in Half Moon Bay, CA. In shipping this item, I will ship the tube in a box, so as not to place a label on the tube and toensure extra protection.
9-to-5 Mac recently profiled Apple\'s various locations, and this is what was written about Mariani:
\"20525 Mariani Avenue, Cupertino, CA:The move to Mariani One, as the building is called, would be Apple’s last major campus move until the construction of the Infinite Loop complex over a decade later. Mariani One was built in 1981, and occupied by the time Steve Jobs was photographed standing on top of the campus sign by Diana Walker in 1982. Like the majority of its other offices in Cupertino, Apple continues to occupy Mariani One today, interrupted only in 1996 when a lease was not renewed on over 100,000 sq ft. of the facility. During this time, Apple’s financials were suffering greatly and the company needed to reduce its footprint.\"

• The top edge has some \"feathering\", along with a pinhole and small stain
• Corners have a small pinhole near the edge
• Small spot under \"Apple Home...\"
• Small smudge near fence (right side)
