I used computers like these back when they were new and and have intimate knowledge and experience of how they work.This computer:Is a completely custom-built mid-90's Windows and DOS PC by myself.It's in a fairly common case for the era, using a LuckyStar baby AT motherboard. Uncommon VideoLogic Weitek Power 9100 professional video card capable of really high resolutions for the era (up to 1600x1200). Legendary Yamaha OPL3-SAX ISA sound card that works in realmode DOS. Upgraded from a 75Mhz to a 166Mhz Pentium 1 CPU.I added an ALi USB 2.0 PCI card to bring USB to this old girl. And thanks to my modifications you can actually use USB thumb drives with it just like a modern PC. So long as they are 128GB or less, and formatted in FAT32.There is a 32GB SanDisk USB drive connected to the card internally for extra storage. This is drive F:NOTE: You will need a PS/1 (ps ONE) keyboard to use with this PC. You can buy converters to use a PS/2 keyboard with it. I recommend using a SERIAL mouse. But you can use a USB mouse as well via the card. I recommend a CRT monitor or an older square-aspect LCD. This PC cannot display widescreen resolutions.Note that this vintage PC is not capable of hardware-accelerated 3D. It has great 2D acceleration and can handle software 3D games like Doom, Quake, and Duke Nukem. But will be unable to play 3D accelerated titles from the late 90's unless they have a software 3D option.I've installed Windows 98 with the '98 lite' modification which replaces the Win98 shell with the Win95 shell, greatly improving speed and response time on this 166Mhz CPU.
