Sony UP-880 black-and-white analog video graphic thermal printer.
The UP-880 is designed to create black-and-white hard-copy images from a compatible analog composite-video source. It connects through a BNC video-input connection and includes a BNC video-output connection for loop-through or monitored video operation.
The printer uses a 1024-dot thermal head and produces 256 levels of grayscale. Maximum published print resolution is 970 x 490 dots with an EIA-format signal or 970 x 582 dots with a CCIR-format signal.
A normal standard-format print takes approximately 3.9 seconds. The printer supports vertical and horizontal printing, five selectable image sizes, adjustable contrast and brightness, and as many as 11 continuous copies of the same captured image.
Compatible thermal-paper types listed in the original Sony documentation include UPP-110S standard paper, UPP-110HD high-density paper and UPP-110HA enhanced-density paper. Paper is included only when clearly shown in the photographs.
IMPORTANT CONNECTION INFORMATION:
This is an analog video printer. It is not a USB printer, network printer, Wi-Fi printer, modern digital photo printer or standalone video recorder. It does not connect directly to HDMI, DisplayPort or a computer without appropriate external conversion equipment.
The buyer must provide a compatible analog composite-video source, BNC cabling and suitable thermal paper. Compatibility with modern cameras, digital recorders, video converters and imaging systems is not guaranteed.
