This is a working TRS 80 Model 1 system complete with the RadioShack monitor, LNW expansion interface, three floppy disk drives, dual cassettedrives, over 50 floppy disks, a huge quantity of documentation, plus much more.The power cables and interface cables are included. You aren't likely to find such a complete TRS 80 Model 1 setup anywhere else, especially with all the included software and documentation.

This system has the well-respected LNW Research SystemExpansion board with the optional LNDoubler double-density disk drive adapter.The base unit is a Model 1 Level 2 with 16K of RAM. The LNW System Expansionhas an additional 32K of RAM, floppy drive interface, parallel printer port,RS-232 serial port, dual-cassette interface, and a sound board and speaker.

The floppy disk drives include a single-sided, double densityboot drive plus two dual-sided, double density drives. A spare single-sided drive(for parts) is included).

The system quickly boots up, loads and runs programs, and functionsquite well. I put this system together about 45 years ago to use for both business and personal purposes. I have labeled the connectors and cables to assist in making proper hookups. Note that due to the age and nature of these devices, I cannot offer a guarantee of continued functionality, but the TRS 80 Model 1 still has a thriving community of dedicated users who are happy to offer very helpful advice.The 5.25” floppy disk drives can be a little temperamental at times, but with over 50 floppies included, you'll have plenty of additional options. I'm including a signal conditioner which can help with reading cassette tapes (the TRS 80 was always a little picky about volume settings) but most of the cassette programs were transferredto floppy disks so you probably won't have to fiddle with cassettes too much anyway.

Both the TRSDOS and DOS Plus operating systems are included.Although DOS Plus has more capabilities, some software will only work onTRSDOS. With this system you can run either one just by booting from the correct floppy disk.

Shipping only to continental US. Everything will becarefully packaged and shipped via UPS in four large boxes weighing over 120 pounds in total. I have a lot of experience packing fragile items for shipping and you can be assured that these boxes will be properly packed and insured. The shipping system isn't set up to accommodate multiple packages, but I will supply all of the tracking numbers to help you follow the shipments. Localpickup is preferred, free, and available.

Please remember that this system is 45 years old. Unliketoday’s PCs, the TRS-80 is not a plug-and-play computer. That's one of the reasons I've carefully labeled every cable and connector. It also is notcompatible with modern PC software. I've included floppy disks which includemany TRS 80 games and applications such as Scripsit (word processor) and the first spreadsheet program—VisiCalc, so that you'll have a lot of fun using this system.

You must agree that you are buying this system with the understanding that someparts may fail due to age and not everything can be expected to work properly. Tinkering is part of the fun of owning an old computer system and the huge quantity of included documentation should help you to resolve most issues you may encounter.
