Eliminates sourcing time from uncredentialed internet NTP servers. NTP servers can and have been compromised with injected malware, or set maliciously to provide incorrect timing data. Using an unknown NTP server is never recommended (the reason corporations use their own time servers inside their networks). Controlling your primary source of time inside your network guarantees no security risk. Admin interface is password protected, so it is locked against adulteration from an outside source. Additionally, keeps working if the internet connection is down, supplying accurate time to your devices.
