This is the original Timex Sinclair, brought into the modern world with upgrades to include: ---Standard ULA with heat sink ---32k mod installed with lower 16k for basic and machine code at 16640 to 32767, and upper 16k for bank switching, and other special programming at 49152 to 65535 ---a NEW replacement Keyboard film ribbon has been installed(ZX81 version with "ENTER" as NEWLINE and "DELETE" as RUBOUT, which are the only differences between the TS1000 keyboard and the ZX81. ---Composite output mod. with DIGITAL (74HC00) back porch generator, for a precise picture ---Modern 9VDC regulated 2 amp switching ac adapter(to run the computer much cooler than the original "BRICK" PS)Please note: This composite output will work with many composite input monitors and TVs including an AV2HDMI adapter(however it is suggested to use WD40 lubricant on all cable connectors, as picture fluctuations and SAVE and LOAD functions may not work properly! This is especially true of the composite connectors from the computer to either a composite input monitor/TV or an AV2HDMI adapter.) Also, the old tape recorder/players will have dirt and tarnish on the internal TONE and VOLUME controls which will greatly reduce their effectiveness when saving and and loading programs--To fix this, it is recommended to rotate these controls back and forth many times before each use, and test the load output from the EAR jack using the recorder speaker to ensure it is nice and loud!)These computers were tested to ensure 32k RAM, and Timex Sinclair Cassette 16k programs "SLOT" and "BLACKJACK" were loaded and played.With these mods. you should have many trouble free years of service from the TS1000 computer.
