FUNCTIONAL TESTING & VERIFICATION

Following its return from a previous sale, the MeshPoint underwent additional testing to verify its basic functionality.

1. Power & LED Testing – PASSED

The MeshPoint was connected to its magnetic wall-plug base and plugged into a standard electrical outlet.

• Unit powered on successfully

• Magnetic connector and power contacts delivered power during testing

• All five front LED indicators responded during startup

2. Hardware Factory Reset – PASSED

A complete hardware factory reset was successfully performed using the physical reset button.

• Factory reset procedure completed

• Unit successfully restarted

• Previous configuration was cleared

3. WiFi Setup Network Broadcast – PASSED

Following the factory reset, the MeshPoint successfully broadcast its wireless setup network.

• "AmpliFi HD MeshPoint Setup" wireless network was detected

• The network appeared as available for setup on both a smartphone and laptop

• Device successfully entered its factory-default setup state

These results demonstrate that the MeshPoint powers on, resets, and broadcasts its wireless setup signal as expected.

The unit is currently in its factory-default configuration state and ready for a buyer to attempt setup with compatible networking equipment.

Please note that successful adoption into an existing AmpliFi network, extended operation, and comprehensive wireless throughput/range testing have not been independently verified.

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE – SLIGHT INTERNAL RATTLE

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING

This MeshPoint was previously sold and subsequently returned because the buyer noticed a slight rattling sound inside the upper antenna portion when the device was moved or shaken.

Following its return, I performed the additional functional testing described above.

The rattling sound remains present and appears to originate from inside the upper antenna housing. It may be caused by a small loose internal plastic component or mounting tab, although the device has not been disassembled to confirm the exact cause.

Despite the internal rattle, the MeshPoint successfully completed all of the functional tests described above, including broadcasting its setup WiFi network, which was detected by both my smartphone and laptop.

No operational problems were observed during these tests.

The rattling sound is being fully disclosed so prospective buyers understand the item's condition before purchasing.

The device is being sold with this known internal rattling condition.

Both items are pre-owned and show minor signs of normal handling and use.

The MeshPoint has some slight discoloration, as shown in the listing photographs.

The upper antenna portion produces the slight internal rattling sound disclosed above.
