Return to the golden age of Atari computing! This is an original Atari Computer Systems power adapter from the era of the legendary Atari 400 and 800 computers—the machines that introduced an entire generation to home computing, programming and unforgettable 8-bit gaming. Original Atari accessories are becoming increasingly collectible, but finding one brand new in its original box more than 40 years later is truly exceptional.
This is the genuine Atari CA017964 boxed power adapter, containing the original C017945 adapter. It provides 9V AC at 3.4 amps and was designed for several classic Atari computers and peripherals, including the Atari 400, 800, 1200XL, 810 disk drive, 822, 850 interface, 1010 recorder, 1020 printer, 1050 disk drive and other compatible Atari equipment.
The adapter is brand new and unused inside the original Atari box. Even the cords remain neatly bundled! The box displays the classic Atari “Fuji” logo, identifies Atari as a Warner Communications company and is marked Made in Taiwan. The box has some normal storage wear, marks and aging from surviving more than four decades, but the adapter inside remains unused. Please examine all photographs for exact cosmetic condition.
Used Atari power supplies can still be found—but an untouched original preserved inside its factory box is another matter entirely. This is the kind of accessory that can complete and elevate a serious Atari display. If you own a beautiful boxed Atari computer system, don’t finish it with an ordinary loose am listing a massive collection of vintage electronic games, game consoles, and arcade memorabilia.I have fiddled with vintage games for more than 45 years. If you are a serious collector...or looking for the perfect nostalgic gift for someone who grew up in the 1970s, ’80s, or ’90s...you may have just hit the jackpot.
