This is my Commodore PET printer, the 8023p. It is a dot matrix printer (8x6 pin) that uses the IEEE-488 format cable. This printer was aimed at the business market, which is why it will use both wide and standard format tractor feed paper.It has not been fully tested since 2006 when I had a commodore PET. It worked then. I cannot do a print test today because I lack a PET, or a suitable cable to interface with any computer I own. Currently I have been able to test power, page feed, line feed, and carriage return. I have no reason to believe that it would not print, but I cannot guarantee what I could not test.
Cables were made to use this printer with other commodore products, and the IEEE-488 format is still widely used in industry, so cables are still available.
It looks great cosmetically except for some minor damage to the rear (see second to last photo)
I sold this printer a few weeks ago, and while packaging some plastic around a screw broke. I immediately refunded the buyer because the item was no longer as described. I am nor relisting it at a reduced price with the damage shown (see the last picture) this damage does not affect the operation of this printer.It comes with one ribbon.
