Dell specifies the D233XT as the 233 MHz Pentium II model with a 13.3-inch 1024×768 active-matrix display.
Description
Vintage Dell Inspiron 3200 D233XT laptop computer from the late 1990s, complete with original Dell PA-3 AC power adapter.
This is the D233XT configuration featuring an Intel Pentium II 233 MHz processor and 13.3-inch XGA active-matrix TFT display.
Laptop has been power-on tested and successfully boots into the PhoenixBIOS setup utility. Display powers on and produces a clear BIOS image as shown in the photos.
BIOS currently recognizes:
- 4100MB hard disk drive
- 79MB extended memory plus system memory, approximately 80MB total installed RAM
The machine has not been tested beyond the BIOS screen. Operating system functionality, hard drive contents, optical/floppy drives, battery, sound, ports, keyboard functions and other hardware have not been fully tested.
The Windows 98 sticker remains on the palm rest; however, Windows 98 installation or operating-system functionality is not being guaranteed.
Please note that the BIOS date is showing 01/01/1989, which may indicate that the internal CMOS/RTC battery needs replacement due to age.
Original Dell PA-3 AC adapter is included and was used for the power-on testing shown.
Cosmetically, the laptop shows normal wear associated with its age including scratches, scuffs, dust, surface marks and general handling/storage wear. Screen has visible dust/surface spotting in the photos. No extensive cleaning or restoration has been performed.
Due to the age of the computer and limited testing performed, it is being sold AS-IS for vintage computing, restoration, collecting, parts or retro-computing use.
Includes only the Dell Inspiron 3200 laptop and Dell AC adapter shown in the photographs.
