IBM Model M Keyboard with Original Boxtakes an SDL -to- PS/2 coiled cable
This belonged to a gentleman who was heavily involved with the dawn of the computer industry. He used this for a short time and then put it back into the box and there it stayed.
Keyboard ID matches the ID on the box so it's a matched pair.
I have thoroughly cleaned this keyboard inside and out. You will not find a surprise pocket of dust or dirt.I took off and individually cleaned all keys and caps. I cleaned the inside. There are only a few tiny tiny areas that show 'small' signs of wear and you have to angle it in the light just right to even see it. This thing is remarkably clean.The absolute 'only' issue is that, from age, a few of the plastic rivets inside have fallen off (which is quite common). These rivets hold the metal backplate, barrel plate and membranes together. However, there are a LOT of them left so it's not at risk of breaking. I will include the plastic rivet pieces that I found when I restored the keyboard - I don't know what you'll do with them but I'll include them anyways :) Because this is a vintage keyboard there's a possibility more may come off when shipping but there's nothing I can do stop that.
It was tested on an old Compaq 486 and it works perfectly (see pic - forgive the dirty screen appearance).
No cord was provided in this box and I Don't have a spare to include.
