Item DescriptionUp for sale is a highly unique and genuinely rare piece of computing history: an authentic 6-inch (150mm) raw silicon semiconductor wafer manufactured by legendary Silicon Valley pioneer Zilog, presented in its original MATEC (Maricopa Advanced Technology Education Center) protective plastic case.This wafer was never commercially sold to the public. It was produced by Zilog as an exclusive, serialized courtesy gift for their official education partners to use as a hands-on visual aid for microchip manufacturing students.Key Features & Collector Details:

• Classic "Primary Flat" Edge: Unlike modern, perfectly round wafers that utilize microscopic alignment notches, this vintage 6-inch specimen features the classic straight "clipped" edge (primary orientation flat). This is a highly sought-after aesthetic marker of retro-era chip fabrication.
• Intact Die Grid Pattern: The microscopic circuit layouts (dies) and uncut factory scribe lines are clearly visible to the naked eye. When held under direct light, the microscopic structures act as a diffraction grating, reflecting a brilliant, shimmering rainbow spectrum.
