• Enterprise Use: It is a drop-in replacement/expansion for NetApp disk shelves and storage arrays.
• Standard Use (Homelab/Generic Servers): If you intend to use this drive with standard Windows, Unraid, TrueNAS, or a generic hardware RAID controller, you will need to reformat it to 512-byte (512e) sectors first. This can be easily done using an IT-mode HBA and standard tools like sg_format (sg3_utils) in Linux. Please ensure you understand this requirement before purchasing.
