What we’ve done:
Although this is an older model, the laptop was brand newbefore we prepared it for use. We created a basic administrator account with nopassword. Next, we upgraded it from Windows 10 to Windows 11, disabledunnecessary startup applications, and removed unneeded software to help improveperformance and keep things running as smoothly as possible. We then ranWindows Update and installed all prompted available updates as of October14, 2026. The laptop is ready for its owner and you can avoid an annoying out of box experience. We recommend that you make your own administrator profile with a password and delete the old profile for security purposes once you receive the laptop.
Please keep in mind that this is an older, entry-level machine by today's standards. It has some fancy features but don't expect high-end performance. It's best suited for simple, everydaytasks, including:
- Watching YouTube, Netflix, and other streamingservices
- Checking email and browsing the internet
- Basic schoolwork and word processing
- Video calls and light productivity
- A first computer for a child or a simple devicefor a grandparent
- Touchscreen use for anyone who wants alaptop-tablet experience
This is not a gaming laptop or a machine designed fordemanding applications or heavy multitasking. Its older processor and 8GB ofRAM mean performance will be limited compared with newer laptops. If your needs fit this description, it's a wonderful budget laptop!
