Greetings,

We inherited a “still being used today” forum built on UBB classic. Ultimately we’d like to move that entire forum to a SQL database. I looked at UBB Threads and it appears that one may be able export data from UBB Classic to UBB Threads and then from UBB Threads, one can export to SQL.

Is that possible in your opinion. If so, do you have any advice to offer on how to proceed?

Well UBB.threads uses MySQL for it's database, and there is an import script available to take your classic data and import it into UBB.threads. At that point all of your data will be in MySQL.

Rick - 1000 thanks. Where does one find the import script to move the data to UBB Threads? Is that built into UBB Threads?

It's in the Members Area. In there you'll find import scripts, and you'll want the one for importing from UBB.classic. You can use this guide to assist:
