ANTYK ferrite memory Siemens Nv Sk 2210/1 The ferrite memory contains two fields of 500, i.e. 1000 miniature cores (core diameter approx. 2 mm), each core is one memory bit, i.e. 2 x 62.5 bytes = 125 Bytes.The memory comes from the Siemens 2002 1959 computer.Memory dimensions 16.5cm x 8.5cm x 7mm weight 74 grams.Ferrite memory, core memory - magnetic non-volatile random access memory. In the years 1955–1975, the basic random access memory, often equated with operational memory, stores data in the form of the direction of magnetization of ferrite cores with a rectangular hysteresis loop [1], and for reading it uses the dependence of the output voltage of the pulse transformer on the direction of the earlier magnetization of the hard core ferromagnetic, it is based almost exclusively on toroidal cores. When trying to replace the rings with holes in the ferrite plate, it was not possible to achieve the required repeatability of the magnetic properties of the holes. Replacing the rings with multi-bore cores turned out to be too expensive and technologically difficult. Only memories on two-hole biaxes gained little popularity.Important information!
