Here is an ATARI MEGA ST in the very rare rack mount form factor.2 CHIP T.O.S. can be updated with a new PAIR to the latest version of the T.O.S. The T.O.S. chips are visible in the photos below the main processor. The Main Processor is a 6800 with the ICD Ad Speed ST riding piggy back.

The MEGA ST has 4 Mb of RAM and is Hard Disk capable as there is onboard SCSI. For Audio applications the Atari Mega ST used an external drive because at the time drives were still excessively large. The absolute best way to have a hard disc is to use a CF Card as a hard drive. These are sold by Best Electronics.There is an ICD AD Speed ST chip installed. This gives faster processing times. Two discs by ICD included.This rack mount unit was used in a Hybrid Arts ADAP2, a 2 Track Analog to Digital Audio Proccesor Direct to Disc mastering solution for Audio. These were used by many of the big studios back in the 80's and 90's with some studios still using the ADAP today.
