It includes the same R36AH USB Wi-Fi router that is in the Alfa WiFi Camp Pro 3, but instead of the larger outdoor USB tube and antenna, it includes an indoor USB receiver and smaller 5 dBi antenna.
It is a perfect way to get a range boost where the original Alfa WiFi Camp Pro 3 may be too big. Use inside RVs near a window if you don't want to mount an outdoor antenna on the outside of the RV. Use on small covered decks at apartment complexes where the HOA rules may prohibit the installation of larger outdoor WiFi antennas. Or take it with you in a laptop travel bag and use in a hotel or on the road.

Alfa R36AH USB router
This is the successor to the previous model Alfa R36A, and it is a special 802.11n router with a USB port that allows you to share the long range Wi-Fi connection of the AWUS036ACHM USB wireless adapter. Now you can extend a weak Wi-Fi signal to all of your devices such as smartphones, printers, and tablets. R36AH features internal hardware upgrades for better overall performance and reliability. It also features a completely redesigned on-page setup interface.
Alfa AWUS036ACHM USB receiver
This component comes with a 15 foot long USB cable that runs to the USB port on the R36AH. This is the receiving radio that picks up the distant Wi-Fi signal. It has an RP-SMA male antenna connector. It also comes with a 5 dBi gain dipole antenna.
If desired , the AWUS036ACHM can also be plugged into the USB port of a compatible Windows 10 computer to extend range just to that PC, but using it with the R36AH will allow you to share reception with multiple Wi-Fi enabled devices at once.The AWUS036ACHM is dual band capable, which means you can join a standard 2.4 Ghz WiFi signal, or a 5 Ghz WiFi signal. It is not capable of connecting to cellular networks, it is WiFi only.
How it works
Use all of these components above together to boost and share a Wi-Fi signal. Simply connect your computer to the R36AH via ethernet cable or Wi-Fi connection for a one-time configuration and setup. Connect the AWUS036ACHM to the USB port on the R36AH. Using Wi-Fi scanning software built-into the R36AH that you will see during the setup wizard, you can scan for and connect to available wireless networks in your area. Once the R36AH has connected to a network, you will be prompted to name and password protect your own new local Wi-Fi network, offering any device within a few hundred feet the ability to use the same distant Wi-Fi signal.
Range
There is no specific range that can be computed as range can vary greatly based on environment and environmental factors like obstacles and interference. We recommend using this in an area where other devices can at least get a weak signal to the desired network, such as one bar. If the environment is such that your devices cannot even see the desired network form the place of intended use, the Alfa Camp Pro 3 Mini may not work well there.
