The Algo 8196 is a wideband SIP-compliantIP ceiling speaking for voice paging, loud ringing, and emergency, safety, securitynotification and alerting, and streaming music (via Algo 8301).

The Algo 8196 IP PoE+ High Power Paging Speaker and IP Loud Ringer is a SIP compliant and multicast capable PoE+ network audio device for live voice paging, alerting, announcements and emergency notification similar to the Algo 8186 but offers support for satellite speakers. Multiple satellite speakers reduce the number of required network ports and cable drops. The Algo 8196 SIP PoE+ Speaker is the big brother to the Algo 8186 and is similar in look, size, and programming, while operating at individually higher power and supports up to three daisy-chained Algo 1196 Satellite Speakers (see images).

Daisy-chain requires directly wiring speakers to each other (not through network). The Algo 8196 features SIP paging extensions, alert/ring extensions and multicast scalability for voice paging, music and audio broadcasts. The Algo 8196 requires the installer to connect the unit to PoE+ power for full capability.

Extensions can be registered with most any premise or hosted Communication Server supporting 3rd party SIP endpoints. Wideband G.722 codec support provides optimum speech clarity and intelligibility in an HD Voice environment. Voice paging and notification announcements are easier to understand, particularly in noisy environments. For additional functionality, consider adding the Algo 1202 / 1203 illuminated call button to your order. The recommended installer should be familiar with configuration and programming of Voice over IP devices via web-based graphical user interface or provisioning.

Can be mounted indoor or outdoors and includes weatherproofing gasket for attachment to dual gang box.

While this product will operate at lower power on a standard PoE network, it requires PoE+ IEEE (802.3 at) 48V for full functionality and power output. If PoE+ is not available, use PoE+ Injector. Satellite speakers WILL NOT work without PoE+ power to the 8196. Does not support direct power connection - daisy chain connections only. See manufacturer\'s website for specifications, new features, and required firmware updates. A basic understanding of computer networking and Voice over IP experience is recommended.
