This sale is a kit for the original silver power supply that came with early Apple ][s only (pre-1980)! Almost all Apple ][ power supplies have the A2M001 designation on them, so you need to check the back of the computer near the power switch to be sure that it looks like the one shown in the pictures. This kit consists of all brand new capacitors. The capacitors are all at or above the original specifications (voltage, capacitance and temperature rating) and consist of only top of the line parts with extended load life. The vastmajority of parts are sourced from Panasonic with Nichicon filling in the remainder. All EMI filters are from Kemet. All kits were derived by opening and analyzing several power supplies of each type and are tested by doing actual installations. Whenever available, the original manufacturer schematics and parts lists were used to verify part selection. All of the capacitors have the proper lead spacing and sizing to ensure that everything seats and fits properly.
Power supplies can contain lethal voltages!No installation instructions are provided with this kit and it requires good soldering and desoldering skills. If you are not experienced enough to figure out where each of the capacitors goes, you probably should not be attempting to do this installation yourself!
