Up for sale is my beautiful Macintosh SE/30 computer. I have a newborn at home and am doing some downsizing of my collection. I've done so much work to this Mac making it quick, reliable, and fun to use. Here's a brief summary:
- Logic board cleaned and all capacitorsreplaced (passes all Snooper diagnostic tests)
- Socketed 68030 CPU allows for future expansion and accelerator cards
- Analog board solder joints re-flowed
- Floppy drive cleaned, serviced, and lubricated
- 8MB of RAM installed
- BlueSCSI installed in place of mechanical hard disk (uses an SD card for storage)
- CRT adjusted for proper geometry and focus
- Case cleaned and detailed
As was mentioned, in place of the original spinning hard drive, a more reliable BlueSCSI drive has been installed which uses a 16GB SD card for storage. The amber colored activity LED remains functional while hard disk access is occurring (see photo). Three hard drive partitions are currently set up - each about 2GB in size. One has System 6.0.8, one has System 7.1, and the third has System 7.5.5 installed. This setup allows you to boot up into whatever version of system software you'd like! I have also installed many applications, utilities, and some classic games (see photos). If there is a specific title you're looking for, I'd be happy to see about preloading it for you. To make file transfer easier, I designed a custom bracket which allows the SD card to be inserted into the rear of the computer via the expansion slot.
The 1.44MB floppy drive has been recently serviced and tested to read, write, and eject disks without issue. The CRT has no visibleburn-in. The speaker is loud and clear. Any questions, please ask.
