The very first release of the seminal database software, dBase III from Ashton-Tate. A major upgrade from the groundbreaking dBase II, dBase III (along with spreadsheet software Lotus 123) was pivotal to firmly enshrining the IBM PC as the primary computing platform for the business world.
This first edition is notable for the shiny plastic-laminateddocumentationcover and binding as opposed to the matte materials used in later releases.

My policy: This item is used and it was fully-functional when I personally removed it from service. Although I have not tested it since then, it has been stored carefully and should be in good working condition. However, I cannot guarantee that - some of my electronics and software are over 40 years old - and as a small seller of personally-owned items, often one of a kind, I cannot accept returns.
