The drive is completely clear with its outer case made by MacEffects and the front panel and latch made by Javier Rivera. It has a custom LED that lets you customize the color for reading, writing and standby. This is made by a2Heaven. Even the apple stickers are a painstaking, multi-stop process done to perfection by retro6502.

Good luck trying to find one of these pieces, let alone all of them assembled together. They are all sold out and most discontinued never to be made again. There will not be many (if any) opportunities to get one of these drives again. The price is reflective of the design, rarity and cool factor. There are three available. The price is for one.

This drive matches MacEffects clear case Apple IIe. It has been cleaned, tested and converted to a clear case, including the LED.

The case is acrylic, and the front face is clear polished resin. They may have very tiny imperfections, but overall are very clean and make a great display and working item with that WOW factor!
