This HP 9000 226 Computer (Series 200) (HP 9826A) is a true gem for vintage computer collectors. The 9826 was the first of the Series 200 machines. It comes with a seven-inch screen (300 x 400 dot resolution), and a single 5.25 inch floppy drive. It was commonly used as an instrument controller back in 1981 when it was released (apparently it was using during the filming of the original Tron movie!). It uses the famous 68000 CPU and this one has expanded memory to 540 Mb. The 9826 also has 4 expansion slots, and this one has 2 cards installed:98622A, 98623A.

The computer has been cleaned and tested and is ready for use. I removed all keys and cleaned each contact switch. I have confirmed that all keys work, drive reads and writes normally (including formatting) and video is crisp. I don't have cables to test the expansion cards. Cosmetically, the computer is in great shape. There are some small scuffs and marks here and there but nothing noticeable. I tried my best to take high res pictures, let me know if you need anything else. Compared to other similar computers at , this is the best looking one I have seen so far.
