Offered here is a very RARE Commodore 8296-D computer with a built in 8250 dual disk drive. I powered it up and it boots to the screen as shown. At the time of listing; I was able to type a simple basic command and it was executed as expected. Keyboard works great! However I did notice that 3 keys display German characters not advertised on the keyboard. Otherwise works great with little to no yellowing. Nice example of this exquisite RARE machine, especially considering it still works after nearly 40 years! According to websites, this computer has 96k of memory 64k of which is banked. These were very nice machines that included a swivel monitor and a separate keyboard. Machine is compatible with 8096, 8032 and (4000 series machines with software). The computer does not have any breaks or cracks but does exhibit minor rubs, scuffs associated with a nearly 40 year old machine. Very tough machines to find these days. As the power supply is original, I would recommend it be checked as these power supplies are old and after 40 years can fail at any time.Please see photos as they are a large part of the physical description. 220V power.
