TESTING & CONDITION:Casing is in excellent condition and very clean. Appears to have been well cared for by the previous owner.All previous user data has been wiped out.Fresh installation of Windows 98 Second Edition with all drivers correctly installed (see picture of device manager). CD optical drive was used to install Windows and drivers. The 3.5" Floppy Disk Drive was tested with a floppy disk (see picture). Computer passes all basic testing and runs very well and responsive. Motherboard capacitors appear to be flat as shown in pictures. New CMOS/BIOS battery installed.Seeall pictures for condition and testing. The pictures also show exactly what you'll receive - no other items will be included.
Windows Installation Notes:Installing a vintage Windows OS such as Windows 98 can be a difficult and time intensive process. Driver support is mostly nonexistent for Windows 98, therefore finding and installing the correct drivers for the internal peripherals is a challenge! This work has been completed for you, and the hard to find drivers will be included for future installs. Note:We turn off Sleep/Suspend features on Windows 98 systems due to unreliable early power management sleep/wake handling. An updated custom USB stack driver is installed for better compatibility on newer USB devices.
IMPORTANT - VINTAGE COMPUTERS:This is a very old "vintage" computer with an obsolete Windows OS. It's important the buyer understands this old computer will not operate like a modern computer. Typically purchased by individuals to run vintage programs or classicgames. Perfect for a collector or hobbyist.
