La Bicyclette Motobécane.
The classic racing bike explained in a very attractive and over 40 years old lithograph.
The legendary French bicycles (and mopeds) manufacturer Motobécane made this classic promotional poster in 1976 and was consequently sent to sales outlets of Motobécane in France and Belgium.
It shows a faithful drawing of a green Motobécane with all parts explained in French.
A treasure for cycling fans or vintage cycling enthusiasts but also nice for Francophiles.Nice size. Not too small but not too overly large either. Easy to frame.
Lucien van Impe won the tour that year.
Signed in the print J. Scheerlinck next to the date (7-76-10).
We do not know if Mr or Ms Scheerlinck that was the designer of the poster or the printer.

Poster has never hung. Comes from the archive of a retired bicycle dealer.
Mild folding line in the middle.
Very minor handling signs around the edges, especially the corners. Where necessary the weakest parts have been reinforced with acid-free tape.
Small age related (foxing) spots but never larger than 2 millimeters and a few incidental needle or pen point size black dots.
