Linux is a different Operating system than Windows or Chrome. Most things work on this laptop with Linux, but we cannot guarantee ALL functionality works(linux may need additional drivers for some components). You can always try installing one of the many different flavors of Linux if Ubuntu doesn't work for you. Keep in mind these have a 16GB hard drive, and there's only about 1.4GB free space.If you put Fedora Linux or Linux Mint on you typically end up with 6GB or more of free space as it doesn't include many pre-installed apps like Ubuntu has included in the base install.ChromeOS is 100% REMOVED, new firmware has been installed, you can now boot most any OS(we have tested Windows 10, and a dozen different linux variations).
