This is a NEW - Retail Box - version of the Power Macintosh 6100 DOS Compatibility Card. Most people just bought 6100 with card installed. But if you already had a 6100 you could buy this and add it to it. They weren\'t cheap and I don\'t believe a lot of these sold this way.
So this is why the price is crazy high. The DOS cards are alwaysdesirable. The 6100 is a small profile machine so it is easier to have/use/store. Original Apple Retail items like this are VHTF.
Look at the pictures. Everything is shown. Disks, card, connectors, manuals, the infamous CABLE... all of it.. NEW.
This card essentially adds a 486 Computer that runs along side your Mac OS. In fact you can, with the cable, actually have one display setup for your Mac and the other for your PC. It will use memory available on your Mac to run on the PC side. The card does have a memory slot (same memory as 6100) and you can add up to 32mb of dedicated ram to the PC side.
What do you need to complete or use this card? A Power Macintosh/Performa 61xx computer, working floppy drive, working CD drive (to do software install but you might be able to get around this). That\'s it really outside of monitor, mouse, keyboard.
