1983 RAREEARLY FIRST print Apple Macintosh UserGuide for the original 1984 Mac 1st Model M0001 Mac 128K! This is the first, original earliest printing of this manual from 1983! This first print, 1983 dated manual only came with the very earliest production Macs that were produced in late 1983 and very early 1984 that were made leading up to the launch of the original first Macintosh in late January 1984! This earliest first printing is identified by the lack of a suffix letter at the end of the part number (030-0687) printed on the rear cover, and also has a 1983 print date inside the front cover as shown. In early-1984 Apple revised this manual and added an A after the part number (030-0687-A) on rear cover and the print date inside changed to 1984; then in May 1984 it was revised again with a B after the part number (030-0687-B). The A and B versions printed in 1984 are much more common to find as many more were printed than this earliest pre-A version printed in 1983!
This early printing contains information that was inaccurate by the time the Macintosh actually was launched in late January 1984, as it was printed prior to the final revisions to the Mac and the software! It refers to the Alternate Disk, which never made it into the final Macintosh software, see photos. Very hard to find Apple collectible from the earliest days of Macintosh!
Both front and rear covers are securely attached, rear cover fold out is attached. Some minor shelf wear to cover, and some very light highlighting on one page inside as shown. There is NO writing inside on the pages but a name a phone number is written on the back cover in pen as shown. All pages inside are clean and nice, no missing pages, no dog-eared pages, great early original Macintosh reference and collectible! All photos are of the exact manual buyer will receive.
