  • This listing is for Univac R&D materials for the first Digital Airborne Computer System 1963-1965.

 

  • Rare Vintage Univac 1830 CP-823/U    Prototype for the P3 Orion.
  • A joint venture between Sperry Rand Univac and Naval Air Development Center.

  • First Digital Airborne Computer Diode Transistor Logic developed for the P3 Orion Sub Hunter/Killer.

  • These R&D papers and notebooks are  the only existing copies. Many are original hand written notes by the Univac Engineers.

  • They include instruction for the CP-667 . Dozens of tantalum cased capacitors on both sides.

  • 27-pin cards are 22k gold plated. They were made only for the ADD 1020 computer and the 1830 Control Panel and Ground I/O unit.

  • 90-pin cards were made only for the Univac 1830 with gold plated pins. They were used in the Airborne I/O Units, Processor. 2 extension card readers and card puller.

  • There are dozens of Westinghouse Diode Transistor Logic flatpacks, containing the earliest monolithic silicon chips, developed only for the Univac 1830. These extremely early silicon chips were the cutting edge. Priceless.

  • The pictures of the papers and notes are in stacks. Not enough pictures to show everything.

These documents haven't been seen for almost 60 years. There is enough rare, never been published material to write a book.


Among the Univac documents are miscellaneous 1960's-1970's publications about chips, memory, early transformation from discrete to digital. Ferroxcube, Autonetics and other microelectronics.
