Rare Vintage Assimilation Serial Trackball for First Apple Macintosh AP07055

This is a very rare trackball meant for the very first Apple Macintosh computer.

Good condition overall, except the cord is frayed where it meets the trackball (please look at pictures). From what I can tell the actual cable is not affected and this is just the material on the outside, however I am not sure. I do not have a computer to test this on, so unfortunately I must sell as-is and without guarantees or returns. Physically it is dirty but in good shape other than what I have described. The ball makes noise when rolled and probably needs lubrication, but I have not attempted to open it up.
