This SAS RAID controller is similar to LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i. Both use the LSI SAS3108 chipset. But AOC-S3108L-H8ir-16DD has 2GB onboard cache memory while normal 9361-8i has only 1GB cache memory. So, it will out outperform 9361-8i.
