PublishersCondition: Actual book is in good structural condition, except for some minor staining on edge of pages ( only visible when book is closed - see photos) Dust jacket has damage & shows its age with a big hole in spine and a series of minor holes on one edge - (see photos). Sounds worse than it actually is, but it is a very readable copy and after a brief skimming through it, I greatly appreciate the growth & progress that has occurred in this field and I am amused by the speculations. A machine that plays checkers is considered noteworthy and newsworthy. On first page of book, original owners name is stamped inside.. Unless Specifically stated as new or unused, many of our items are pre-loved pieces moving on to new homes. This means they may show a certain amount of wear commensurate with their age but I endeavor to identify any significant flaws or damage. Please read the description and condition and most importantly please examine and use photos to aid in your evaluation - you may find it looks better than it sounds.
