Offered for sale is a lot of two boards:
1. Ferrite memory board called 1-M.
2. Thermal stabilization board.
The 1-M Plate outside dimension: approx. 4.49 x 4.49 x 0.16 inches
Capacity: 1 ferrite toroid = 1 bit
A 32 x 32 core memory plate stores 1024 bit (128 byte) of data

The 1-M board is very carefully soldered from a ferrite memory cube from the 5Ts19 "Reseda" system. (For a better understanding, a photo of the cube is shown in photos 10, 11 and 12. The cube itself is not included in the lot).
The cube from the 5Ts19 "Reseda" system is intended for data exchange between the computer centers of the missile attack warning system and a separate command and measurement complex.
. The cube is enclosed in an aluminum case, lined with foam rubber on the inside, and covered with heat-insulating, silver-colored, fine-pored foam on the outside. On the front side of the case there is a massive heat sink and two handles for carrying and facilitating installation of the cube in a rack. There are two connectors on the back side, and two guides for the hardware rack slide on the bottom.
The cube consists of 18 ferrite plates, each containing 1024 ferrite rings (32 by 32 in one group).The total volume of the cube is 2.25 kilobytes. Plates with ferrite rings alternate with special plates containing parallel wound threads of copper wire to heat the air inside the cube body. Despite the fact that the rack with the cube had to function inside a heated building of the computer center, in order to maintain a stable operating temperature, it is technically easier to initially heat the air inside the cube body, insulate the body, and then maintain the set temperature.Each thread on such a plate starts from a special contact on one side, runs in parallel turns through the entire plate, ending at another contact on the opposite side.The number of turns is different for different plates (on the outer 29 turns, on the inner 14).At the ends and in the center of the cube, plates with threads come in pairs, in other cases they come alternately with ferrite.To control the temperature, plates with two thermistors were added to the cube.
