This is a very early 1973 AMI C1885 exact replacement for MOSTEK MK6008P Microprocessor/Microcontroller in a 40 pin white ceramic package with very a very unusual yet intentional hole in the package. This microprocessor is contained within a Synthesizer Card from an early Hammond Organ/Synthesizer.
This was a custom chip for Hammond Organ, just like it\'s cousin, the MK6010 which was made for the calculator market.
These are rare and difficult to find.
There is no data sheet for this part, as it was a custom chip for Hammond.
As a comparison, the MK6010 created the same year, contained 360 logic gates and 160 flip-flops made of 2100 transistors.
This is about as early as they come.
This was a stand-alone microcontroller with fixed functionality, requiring no additional external memory.
