There is some smoothing of the textured finish of the plastic from wear. Item hasbeen fully disassembled, cleaned inside and out, and topped off with new glide pads.This is 1.1/1.1a version with a Product ID Code of 56180, which means it has the improved sensor over the earlier 1.0 version. What matters is that it has a PID # of 56180. So if you're ever looking to buy a used Microsoft wheel mouse optical from anyone, anywhere, that's how you tell the older 1.0 from the 1.1 model which has the faster sensor. Whether it does or doesn't have a PID code of 56180. The older 1.0 models use entirely different hardware and components internally.
