You are buying a tested Radius full-page display for vintage Apple Macintosh computers.
Back in the day Radius earned a reputation as one of the best suppliers of 3rd-party displays and accelerators for Apple Macintosh computers.
This listing is for a Radius model 0311 full-page grayscale display. The 0311 has a resolution of 640 by 870 pixels, enough to nicely display a full 8.5\" by 11\" page of text. It features both tilt and swivel so that the display can be adjusted for best viewing and the platform fits well on top of vintage Macs such as the IIcx, IIci, and Quadra 700.
I tested this FPD using the built-in video output of a Quadra 700 using an Apple 590-0029 video cable (included). This gave me the full resolution of 640 by 870 pixels in 256 shades of gray (see photo 1). Contrast and brightness adjustments on the display worked properly and neither had to be set at an extreme position to produce the image shown in the photo. (Please note that the slight difference in brightness seen at the bottom of photo 1 is an artifact of my digital camera. You won\'t see this in real life.)
For Macs that cannot drive this display directly (such as the SE and SE/30) Radius made full-page display video cards for just about every kind of 680x0 Mac. These often turn up on , but if you can\'t find one ask me. I might have the one you need.This FPD will ship with a power cord and an Apple 590-0029 video cable (see photo 2). These are all you need to connect the Radius FPD to Macs and video cards that use the standard Apple Macintosh DB-15 video jack. (Not all Macs will be able to drive the FPD to full resolution and number of grays using the built-in video, but many [such as my Quadra 700] can. Additional VRAM may be needed in your Mac.)
