I had to delete threads early on, maybe 1-2x/year, cuz I'd run out of disc space. :/ But since I moved to a new (cheaper, better) host 2-3 years ago, it's been no problem keeping them all.

If "coleslaw" needs to delete threads for the sake of space, that's one thing. But I still would prune by last post date rather than topic creation date.
